This is what I’m talking about! Thinking outside the box and creating your own gig. Needing a place to play one more show, Baytown, Texas, metal band, ETERNAL DECIMATION, hijacked a dance studio. You know, where ballerinas hone their skills. The following video displays the true power of the underground.
Advertised by word of mouth and Myspace, this is about as grassroots and underground as you can get. You will notice there is no stage, no lighting, no pro sound, just a band relating to it’s fans eye to eye, literally.
Note 1: the fans don’t seem to mind one bit that this isn’t in an established music venue!
Note 2: you can see me right in front of the band, taking pictures in the middle of the mosh pit.
The moral of the story? Don’t sit around expecting things to come your way, get out there and make it happen! I guess I might add, play to your fans, not your ego.
