It’s been a long time comin’, but I’ve finally launched the official Wicked-D.com!
I figured it was about time to set up a true base of operations for Wicked D’s Network. The truth of the matter is I’ve been scattered all over the web for the last several years. It’s now time to pull it all together.

I’ve just installed WordPress 3.0, which looks to be very promising. It does mean I have to re-learn a few things, but the WP format has always been relatively easy to learn. You may have noticed I’ve also installed the new default Twenty Ten theme. I don’t know if I like like it, but we’ll let it ride for a bit. Meanwhile, check out the video for a quick overview of version 3.0.
OK. I’ve tried, but it’s in my blood. I just can’t walk away from NetworkOrDie.com! There’s just too much info to be collected and shared. I will have to streamline operations a bit, though. Launching MetalCrotch.com, maintaining MetalMusicPromotions.com, planning out the Musician’s Affiliate website, as well as consulting & contract work, doesn’t leave me a lot of hours to play with. Forgive me for not printing as much original material as before, but in the true spirit of Network or Die, I will continue to share DIY and music biz info from varoius sources across the web!
Soul searching didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. I love sharing information, I love metal music, and I love webmastering. Therefore, I’ve launched a new metal music discovery website at http://www.metalcrotch.com. Yes, I’ve grown a bit tired of the business side of things. No, I haven’t given that up entirely. For those interested, I do continue to share the old “Live Blogroll” through Facebook notes at http://www.facebook.com/donwickedharrison.
I was going to write a detailed post but decided no explanation was needed. I’m moving in a different direction and will leave it at that. This website will remain online to keep all links intact.
The industry is a buzz with New Year’s Resolutions! If you keep up with my Live Blog Roll, you have no doubt read some great articles on the subject. My last post ( a reprint of a Madalyn Sklar blog post) was also right on track. I have a lot to look forward to in 2010 and would like to share some of my plans with you. Continue reading »
Most of you will have noticed that I’ve placed a ‘Subscribe’ button on the top of the sidebar. This will allow readers to easily subscribe to the blog via RSS or email. Just below that, I’ve added social networking icons which are linked to my outlying sites. Please feel free to join me on Digg, Facebook, Flickr, Last.fm, LinkedIn, Myspace, StumbleUpon, Twitter, YouTube, and of course, Metal Music Promotions. Let’s continue to make Wicked D’s Network a community effort by utilizing the “Share/Save” button at the bottom of each post.
Thanks for plugging into The Network. Y’all freaking ROCK!
